Describe how two students' reading processes might differ.

What will be an ideal response?


Answers will vary but responses should cover the following:Some readers perceive printed symbols visually while blind readers use a tactile sense.A person with poor auditory discrimination may find some reading skills-- especially those involved with phonics--difficult to master, while others learn better through auditory means.  Readers' experiences vary, so different readers may interpret vocabulary. As students have different experiences, they develop schemata. Students from other countries often come to the United States with experiential backgrounds that are vastly different from those of the U.S. natives.
