Approximately 200 million children and adolescents are employed worldwide. Of that, 95% are in developing countries. Many work on commercial farms or plantations. Many children work alongside their parents but only for a small percentage of adult wages. Other typical jobs include factory work of weaving, sewing, and working with objects. The conditions are harsh and they are often locked in and forced to work 14+ hours.
