You are using the college library to do research for a paper. However, the two books you need most are missing from the stacks. What can you do to find out where they are so that you can use them?

What will be an ideal response?

Don't give up. Ask the librarian for help. He or she may be able to find the books if they are misshelved. A librarian can also issue a recall if the book is checked out of the library. If the material is truly lost, you may be able to get it from another library through an interlibrary loan.
