Mindful learning is synonymous with strategic learning and self-regulated learning. It refers to the process of analyzing all of the variables that may affect learning new material and skills, and then creating a learning plan for meeting the cognitive demands of a particular task. The term also implies that students understand that
since each learning task is somewhat different from previous ones, this process has to be started anew with each task. This process is the opposite of applying the same
