The primary difference between brands and campaigns is the longevity and depth associated with each. The brand is a permanent aspect of the organization and is deeply rooted in every aspect of how that group acts. A campaign works in the short term to provide audience members with information about a single element or idea within the brand. Campaigns traditionally work as subsets of the brand, reinforcing the dominant identity of the brand while still emphasizing something new or different that emerges from that brand.
