First, it is important to make certain your humor is appropriate to your listeners. Humor should be used to make a point rather than just to get a laugh. You can use humor by poking fun at yourself. In this way, the audience will not be the butt of the joke. Humor quotations can also be used, but sensitivity to the audience must be maintained. Finally, cartoons can be used to also make a point.
