What is meant by multicultural communication and why is it increasingly important?
What will be an ideal response?
Multicultural communication occurs when two or more individuals from different cultures communicate with one another, whether it is through a face-to-face meeting, an instant messaging exchange, or a videoconference. Cultural anthropologists Edward T. and Mildred R. Hall theorize that culture is communication and that communication can be divided into several culturally determined parts: words, space, time, and behavior. Within each of these categories, examples of the challenges of communicating across cultures are common.
