In education, teachers who are being dismissed or disciplined have the right to due process. This right is often protected or guaranteed with tenure. Response on teachers' general rights should include expansion on the following: 1) freedom from discrimination; 2) academic freedom; 3) freedom of expression; 4) privacy rights. Responsibilities of teachers: 1) keeping students safe; 2) reporting of child abuse or negligence; 3) in some districts, reporting of bullying and sexual harassment.
