Explain what reshoring is.
What will be an ideal response?
Shores supports the formwork for concrete slabs and beams. After the concrete has gained sufficient strength (typically one week after placing the concrete), the shores and the formwork are removed. However, some of the shores are put back to support the floor. This is referred to as reshoring. Note that reshoring supports the concrete
slabs and beams directly, while shoring supports the slabs and beams along with their formwork.
