What is the role of transfer RNA in translation?

What will be an ideal response?

tRNA molecules transfer amino acids to the protein being assembled. Each tRNA molecule carries a single, specific amino acid and includes a sequence of three nucleotides called an anticodon. During translation, a tRNA molecule with the appropriate anticodon binds to a codon on the mRNA molecule. The binding of codon and anticodon follows the usual nucleotide-pairing rules—that is, A binds with U, and G binds with C. The amino acid carried by the tRNA is then added to the growing protein. After this, the ribosome shifts the mRNA molecule so that a new codon is ready to be translated.
