Within each category, the percentage of men fired was greater than the percentage of women fired; yet the overall firing rate was higher for women (56.7%) than for men (43.3%). These results arises because the percentage of part-time workers fired was much higher than the percentage of full-time workers fired and among the female workers there were far more part-time than full-time workers.
