Why do people’s environmental attitudes often differ from their environmental behavior? What might be done to bring the two more in line with each other?

What will be an ideal response?

There are various structural barriers in the social organization that
make it difficult for people act environmentally as they are willing to. One way to
move forward is to envision a normal environmentalism, the kind of
environmentalism that one does not have to be intentionally environmental to
act environmental. The transition to such social organization would require
ecological dialogue between actors from the top and the bottom.
