Explain to a friend what the term environmental justice means. Include in your explanation some specific examples of environmental injustice

What will be an ideal response

Environmental justice is an ideal whereby every person is entitled to protection from environmental hazards regardless of race, gender, religion, age, national origin, income, social class, or any political factor. Studies have shown that a larger portion of polluting entities are located close to communities populated by disadvantaged groups such as Latinos and African Americans. Furthermore, studies have shown that clean up of such areas is much faster and accomplished more completely if they are close to white communities than if they are close to African American and Latino communities.
