Describe some techniques a leader can use to help task group members to generate ideas and options
What will be an ideal response?
The leader can help members generate ideas and options by using any of the following techniques: brainstorming, the fishbowl, small group variations, or guided fantasy. Brainstorming is helpful because every idea is initially accepted and then the list can be narrowed afterward. In the fishbowl, two concentric circles are made and the people on the inside circle discuss while the people on the outside listen and later comment. Small groups give more people more time to talk because of the size of the group. Then the ideas can be shared in the larger group. Guided fantasy allows members to visualize the outcome of several different solutions to aid the decision making process.
