What will be an ideal response?

Mandated reporting is the legislative requirement that certain professionals must report cases of suspected child abuse or neglect for investigation to a designated authority within a specified amount of time. Social workers, teachers (and other school personnel), physicians (nurses, and other health care workers), counselors, childcare providers, medical examiners or coroners, law enforcement officers, and members of the clergy are required by law to make a report of child maltreatment.
