How does the trial ignition period differ between a fan assisted furnace as compared to a furnace with atmospheric burners?
What will be an ideal response?
With a fan assisted type furnace there will be an air proving switch and a combustion air blower motor relay. On a call for heat from the thermostat the blower initially starts. There will be approximately a 45 second pre-purge before the module begins the pilot ignition sequence.
