What will be an ideal response?


The student should indicate that the U.S. lags behind the rest of the industrialized world with regard to family leave policies. Only recently have employers been required to allow unpaid leave for families to care for family members. Parents who take time off often experience discrimination from their employers, along with career setbacks.
