Why should social workers personally and professionally invest in lifelong-learning strategies?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: The social worker faces each unique client system with professional training in values, knowledge, and skills. However, because each client is unique, there will always be the need to be as current as possible on the issues or circumstances of the client. This requires the social worker to stay abreast EBP and EI to ensure that the client receives the best services possible. Additionally, on a personal level, the social worker himself is a dynamic being whose interests will change or need to be redirected to maintain balance in his life dimensions. The more one learns, the more one grows. This philosophy can benefit clients as well.
