What is the gender role analysis?
What will be an ideal response?
Gender role analysis has five steps, which help clients to recognize how their behaviors might be affected and shaped by traditional gender role beliefs and expectations. This is often used as an alternative to assessment. The five steps are (1) identify early beliefs, held since childhood, of traditional gender roles; (2) identify and discuss both positive and negative beliefs about gender role; (3) the client, assisted by the therapist, analyzes what expectations have been internalized; (4) decide which beliefs should be processed; and in therapy (5) development of a therapeutic plan.
