A monogamous couple, in which the female has high blood pressure, wishes to have sexual intercourse
and not get pregnant but does want children in the future. Which birth control method would be best
for them? What will be an ideal response?
I would recommend an intrauterine device. This is highly effective, will not impact the female’s blood
pressure the way hormone-based methods will, is not permanent and does not require advance
planning for each time they wish to have sex.
