Asbestosis is a chronic lung disease caused by inhalation of asbestos fibers that results in the development of alveolar, interstitial, and pleural fibrosis. Byssinosis is a respiratory disease which is an allergic reaction to dust or fungi in cotton, flax, and hemp fibers. It is characterized by SOB, cough, and wheezing. Pulmonary neoplasms are an abnormal growth of lung tissue that can be benign or malignant and is caused by exposure to radon gas, mustard gas, printing ink, asbestos, and chrome (from chrome plating or stainless steel welding).
