Give two ways women are better than men in their visual processing abilities. Describe two ways men are superior to women in visual processing. Explain why these differences might be advantageous for survival and/or functioning
What will be an ideal response?
ANSWER:
?Women tend to be better at using many colors, and women also are better at processing facial expressions more accurately than men. Men are better at visually processing movement and spatial information. Women, by being able to discern more colors might be better at gathering crops (telling ripe from unripe) or matching colors for decoration or coordinating elements for dressing. Men could use superior movement and spatial processing in hunting, sports, or fixing/constructing things. However, these differences between women and men should not be taken as all exclusive; in addition, cultural factors help to shape respective abilities between women and men.
