Describe the source, digestion, and ultimate utilization of proteins by your body

What will be an ideal response?

Your body breaks down protein from food sources rich in protein into their monomers (amino acids). We need to ingest proteins containing 8 of the essential amino acids, so that we can make the remaining 12 . Proteins are digested by proteases in the stomach and small intestine, and ultimately are used to produce new proteins by the process of protein formation (recall transcription and translation?).
