Plain view doctrine is evidence that was in plain view may be admissible in court if the officer was in a lawful position, the discovery was inadvertent, and the evidentiary value of the item was immediately apparent. One tenet of the plain view doctrine is the immediate apparency which addresses the instant recongnizability of a particular item's evidentiary value.
