The left hemisphere receives information from the nasal side of the right eye and the temporal side of the left eye. Similarly, the right hemisphere receives information from the nasal side of the left eye and the temporal side of the right eye. In this way, each hemisphere receives information about the contralateral visual field that comprises information from both eyes.
