What is the difference between a monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflex? Give examples of each.

What will be an ideal response?

Polysynaptic reflexes are reflexes requiring more than one synapse. In contrast, the myotatic reflexes are monosynaptic, or requiring only a single synapse between a sensory neuron and a motor neuron. Myotatic reflexes are examples of monosynaptic reflexes. A familiar example of a polysynaptic reflex is the flexor reflex.
