Trace the pathway of bile from the gallbladder to the duodenum

What will be an ideal response?

Bile released from the gallbladder enters the cystic duct. The cystic duct joins the common hepatic duct to form the common bile duct. The common bile duct joins the main pancreatic duct near the duodenum to form the hepatopancreatic ampulla, which is surrounded by the hepatopancreatic sphincter. The contents of the hepatopancreatic ampulla empty into the duodenum at the major duodenal papilla.
