Briefly describe the selective repeat ARQ protocol.
What will be an ideal response?
The selective repeat ARQ protocol was developed to provide a reliable and efficient communication. In this protocol, the receiver does not discard the non-corrupted out of sequence frames. Instead, the receiver copies them into its buffer and the transmitter resends only the corrupted or lost frame and as a result, the channel’s bandwidth is used more efficiently.
