Students should first identify transferable skills as talents and abilities that may be applied to a range of settings and job environments. Answers regarding examples of students’ transferable skills will vary but may include writing, research, and the ability to communicate across languages and cultures or may borrow upon the idea of the “four c’s”: critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
