Explain how stereotypes impact first impressions

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Stereotypes are beliefs that are mainly false about a group of people and they can impact your personal image at work. Stereotypes are often based on personal appearance. When older people, for example, see members of the younger generation with facial piercings, tattoos, and unusual hairstyles, they form first impressions based on their stereotypes. First impressions are not usually accurate, but they still occur. If someone negatively stereotypes you, once they get to know you and observe your behavior, their impression will improve over time.
