How is BMI classified?

What will be an ideal response?


A BMI less than 18.5 kg/m2 is considered underweight. A BMI of 18.5-24.9 kg/m2 is normal weight. A BMI of 25-29.9 kg/m2 is overweight. A BMI of 30-39.9 kg/m2 is considered obesity, and 40 kg/m2 or above is considered severe obesity. Both underweight and overweight classifications indicate higher risk of disease.
