Compare philosophy and theory including the essential difference between the two
What will be an ideal response?
Philosophy and theory overlap in many ways, and the distinction between the two is often blurred. A theory is a set of related principles that are based on observation and are used to explain the world around us. The term "explain" in the definition is important. The primary function of theories is to help explain events we observe in our day-to-day lives. Philosophies are based in part on theories, but go beyond them to suggest the way things ought to be, and also analyze theories, ideas, and beliefs.
