Describe how optical mixing works.

What will be an ideal response?

Optical mixing is the illusionary way images/colors on a computer appear blended together. Upon close inspection, a viewer realizes that the image or graduated colors are actually derived of individual, square pixels. In traditional painting, this effect of combining tiny dots of color in such precision that when viewed from a distance forms a complete picture is called Pointillism.
