Describe the three energy systems found in humans

What will be an ideal response?

The immediate energy system provides energy for brief explosive action. It consists of ATP stored in muscle cells and creatine phosphate that can rapidly transfer its phosphate group to ADP to produce more ATP. The glycolytic energy system uses glycolysis to produce some ATPs. After glycolysis has taken place, fermentation replenishes the electron carriers with the production of lactic acid as a by-product. For long-lasting activities and consistent ATP production, the oxidative energy system is used. This requires oxygen and entails glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain.
