Why is ballistic stretching the least recommended mode of stretching exercise?

What will be an ideal response?

Ballistic stretching is the least recommended form of stretching because of the risk of strain or injury to muscles and nerves. This type of stretching requires a fast and repetitive bouncing motion to achieve a greater degree of stretch, which sometimes forces joints beyond the normal range of motion. This form of stretching should never be performed without a previous aerobic warm-up.
