Discuss the difference between delirium and dementia

Delirium is a reversible dementia that has a more rapid onset than other types of dementia. It is usually caused by an illness or injury. Dementia includes a variety of conditions associated with damage to brain tissue, resulting in impaired memory. Some causes of dementia are reversible, such as brain tumors and nutritional deficiencies, while others are irreversible, such as Alzheimer's Disease.
