Trini is delivering a speech at a research conference next month. Trini is quite nervous, and she comes to you for advice on how to effectively rehearse the speech. Give Trini some suggestions for using her rehearsal time most effectively.

What will be an ideal response?

The ideal answer should include:
- Rehearse the entire speech rather than in parts.
- Time the length of the speech and make adjustments on the basis of the timing.
- Consider the conditions under which you will be speaking. Rehearse the speech under conditions as close as possible to those under which you'll deliver it.
- Watch yourself speak. Practice your delivery in front of a mirror or record yourself.
- Run through the entire speech. Don't interrupt the rehearsal to make notes or changes. Do so in between rehearsals.
- Rehearse the speech more than once. Rehearse as long as your rehearsals continue to result in improvements.
