Describe the government and society of New Spain. How did the New Spain reflect the values, beliefs, and goals of the Spanish conquerors?

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: The Spanish empire have the conquerors permission to explore and plunder what they found; the crown took ? of anything confiscated and allowed the conquerors to divide the rest. However, this commonly left conquerors unhappy, because they were left very little. In order to please them, they created the system of encomienda, which empowered conquerors to rule the Indians and the land in and around their towns. The conquerors also worked hard to convert Indians to Christianity. The conquerors were only really interested in what the Indians could do for them, which was really cheap human labor.
