Describe a public DNS.
What will be an ideal response?
A DNS server will be either private or public. Internal DNS servers that provide DNS to domains like totalhome.local are private. The computers of totalhome.local are invisible to the Internet. Therefore, the DNS server itself is also behind a firewall and in many cases resolving computers with private IP addresses. Public DNS servers are exposed to the Internet and resolve legitimate, registered, fully qualified domain names. These public servers are never behind a firewall and must have public IP addresses.
