According to the job demands-control model, which medical professionals do you think should have more strain, nurses or physicians?

What will be an ideal response?

If you guessed nurses then you are correct. Why? Nurses have high psychological demands combined with low decision latitude (low control) (Brown, James, & Mills, 2006) because they have less patient care decision-making authority than physicians. Physicians provide the patient care directives and nurses follow them rather than the other way around.
