A law office memo is a summary of legal research on an issue. It includes a heading, statement of assignment, issue, facts, analysis of legal research of statutes, case law, etc. on the topic, conclusion as to what the outcome would likely be. A memo is written/prepared for a current client's case; a summary of the paralegal's research as to how a court/jury is likely to rule.
