What did research for the Centers for Disease Control reveal regarding the Go Red campaign?
What will be an ideal response?
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention1 indicates that heart disease is the top cause of death for females in the United States, accounting for 22.3% of deaths, and this is followed by cancer with 21.6%. When the statistics are broken down, however, heart disease falls to the second leading cause of death for Asian or Pacific Islander and Hispanic females. With these two groups cancer is the leading cause of death. While heart disease is still a critical issue for these groups, these statistics illustrate that these different groups may have different health priorities.
