How does the Sixth Amendment interact with the First Amendment?

What will be an ideal response?

A defendant's Sixth Amendment right to an open, public trial must be balanced against the public's First Amendment rights concerning media coverage of trials (Gannett Co. v. De Pasquale{1970}). However, the Sixth Amendment does not permit the public, including the press, to attend every trial (Richmond Newspapers, Inc. v. Virginia {1980}). The public has the right to attend trials unless there is a compelling government interest otherwise. Excessive media coverage of high-profile cases may disrupt court proceedings to the extent that the defendant can claim deprivation of due process.
