Discuss the relationship between stress, burnout, and turnover with staff working in corrections.

What will be an ideal response?

Work in corrections can be taxing and troublesome. Most correctional work in institutions is shift work and when first started, involves late nights, sometimes all-night shifts, and weekend and holiday work. Correctional staff immersed in this environment and required to get unwilling people to do things they are not inclined to do, often experience stress and the related consequences of it: burnout and turnover.
