Why should we care about an increased extinction rates due to human activities?

What will be an ideal response?

We should care because our existence is directly tied to other species.  We are impairing the natural processes that allow speciation and, in doing so, are creating an impoverished world for the future.  From a moral perspective, it is wrong to allow other species to go extinct simply because we refuse to change our actions.   Other species have just as much right to exist as humans do.
