Answer: A company that has successfully reorganized and reinvigorated itself after years of floundering would probably have more need for a leader who is primarily concerned with ensuring that the changes made for better performance remain in place and well-utilized, rather than a leader who will continue to transform the organization. Transformational leadership is the set of abilities that allows a leader to recognize the need for change, to create a vision to guide that change, and to execute the change effectively. In contrast, transactional leadership is essentially the same as management in that it involves routine, regimented activities.
