Identify eight steps useful in assessing a discipline problem and explain which of the steps you think will be most useful to you as a beginning teacher
What will be an ideal response?
Answer may vary on which one of the steps would prove most useful for a beginning teacher, but the steps are understand the problem, clarification of current difficulties, review of background, identification of coping style, assessment of psychological and developmental status, list all current problems, establish help that is required, and develop a contract. The step that I believe would be most useful for a beginning teacher is to develop a contract with all students prior to the beginning of instruction. This will avoid some problems and provides a written agreement that could be used to remind students or proper behavior in the classroom when a conflict arises.

PISA: The illustration below shows the footprints of a man walking
The pace length, p, is the distance between the rear of two consecutive footprints.
For men, the formula n/p = 140 gives an approximate relationship between n and p where
n = number of steps per minute, and
p = pace length in meters
?
If the formula applies to Heiko’s walking and Heiko takes 70 steps per minute, what is Heiko’s pace length? Be sure to show your work.
