Describe a constant pitch series.
What will be an ideal response?
A constant pitch series provides a fixed number of threads (pitch) for a range of diameters. The 8, 12, and 16 constant pitch series are preferred. Threads in each series are designated as UN, UNR (for external threads), and N. These letters (depending on the thread form) are preceded by the number of threads in the constant pitch series.
