Do not use the computer or attempt to search for evidence. Photograph the computer's front and back as well as any cords and connected devices. Photograph the surrounding area before moving any evidence. If the computer is off, do not turn it on. If the computer is on and something is displayed on the monitor, photograph the screen. If the computer is on and the screen is blank, move the mouse or press the space bar to display the active image on the monitor. After the image appears, photograph it. Unplug the power cord from the back of the tower.
