Discuss the case study model of evaluation. Provide an example of when you would use this type of evaluation.

What will be an ideal response?

Stufflebeam and Shinkfield (2007) described case study evaluation this way: “A case study evaluation’s signature feature is an in-depth examination of the case and issuance of a captivating, illuminative report”. Case study research typically involves the use of qualitative methods most frequently, and a much deeper investigation into the processes of a program. However, as Stufflebeam and Shinkfield (2007) noted, the case study evaluation method generates considerable data and information, and the evaluator must organize and present the information to help the decision makers use the findings.
